Karen,

I think the agenda is a good idea. It seems to work well for Civil War events. I will suggest it.

Paul,

Please send the photos. That would be great.

Although a fair drive for some the hospitality in this community is well worth the drive. I hope it continues to grow-- I too wa disappointed by the early departure of some that once started continued. Perhaps as mentioned have a set agenda for both days would be good.
hope to see yuo soon.

Jim (Alexei):
Rowlesburg is a fine event and the hospitality is without equal. It is truly a reenactor friedly community and the organizers (reenactors themselves) truly know how to (rowle) out the red carpet {insert pun}!

This event is a nice contrast to Reading and one I not to be missed. No pressure, respect all around, no politics or BS, and an appreciative crowd. I enjoyed seeing the future of the 193rd alive and well in the attendence of Erika, Emily, and Christian. They represented themselves well and their impressions continue to develop nicely. Imagine where they will be when they are our age!

The weather held out nicely and I'm only sorry to have gotten there a bit late and then having to leave a bit early for a continuance of our vacation to the tune of a 7 1/2 hour ETA to Chincoteague from Rowlesburg. Even with 2 brief stops of 30 minutes and 20 minutes, respectively, the Momot's ran through WV, MD, DC, and VA like the Russian assult on Berlin and conquered the trip in 7 hours! urrah !!!

The fashion show was a most enjoyable highlight. Your Russian was perfect Jim (Alexei)! Of course put a mic in my hand and you have trouble getting me off the stage. I actually had someone come up to me who thought my accent was real (I thank my Ukrainian grandmother and grandfather for that though they've been gone for quite some time). I guess my Russian language lessons are paying off as are yours but to only have the guts to use it more. Oh well.

We look forward to Rowlesburg next year and I hope our contingent continues to grow. Emily is set on Bedford though I have another engagement (if I don't have to work that weekend). I'll come out and set up Friday night at Bedford, run up to Tidoute for Remagen Saturday morning and return that evening for the remainder of the festivities and the next days events. We'll have our cover for that event and I'll be able to bring the barricade for sure.

Once again my comrade you have done this event proud with stellar organization and another fine write up and photos. I look forward to Bedford (reenactor gods willing) and will see you then.
